Tropical Hibiscus Sangria

White wine tropical iced tea sangria

We entertain a lot and love having a few favourite go-to drink and meal recipes that are easy to assemble but are super showy.  Sangria is one of those things, which is why I was thrilled to partner with Pure Leaf [1] to create a new version of sangria just in time to kick off patio season!

Living in the heart of wine country means that we have amazing access to world-class wines; I can walk to eight different wineries from my house!  It’s so nice that I can incorporate some of these wines into my recipes, I feel incredibly lucky!

Sangria is a summer staple for entertaining for a few reasons.  It is served over ice (super refreshing), incorporates fruit (so showy, and the dietitian in me loves a drink that you can also eat), and is incredibly versatile!

This beautiful and simple sangria recipe is perfect for spring. We used Pure Leaf Mango Hibiscus Iced Tea as a base to make the recipe unique, refreshing and easy to whip up when the girls are coming over to sit on the patio.

Pure Leaf herbal iced teas are naturally caffeine-free as they are made from freshly- brewed hibiscus flowers (rather than tea leaves). They are also not from concentrate or powder and use all-natural ingredients to flavour the tea.

There’s nothing that will up your entertaining game more than walking out to serve your guests carrying a pitcher of showy icy cold sangria.  I know that this recipe will absolutely be on repeat in our house this summer!

I recommend using blood oranges if you can get your hands on them as they give the sangria a stunning pink hue, but of course you can substitute regular oranges if you don’t have blood oranges.

Happy entertaining my friends!
