This Bourbon Apple Crisp is sweet with a bold punch of bourbon. Serve with a dollop of iced cream for the perfect treat!
Preheat the oven to 350 F and lightly grease 6 oven proof ramekins or a 8x8” pan. Place the diced apples in a medium bowl and stir in 1 tablespoon of melted butter.
While the crisp is baking make the Bourbon Sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat combine the butter and flour and whisk together; cook for 1 minute. Add the brown sugar, bourbon, cream and salt; simmer and whisk until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce has slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat and whisk in the vanilla.
