This Baked Spaghetti from the Fraîche Table meal plan, is a total comfort food classic and made with only a handful of ingredients. Consider this recipe your weeknight hero!
Preheat the oven to 400 F and grease a deep 10" cast-iron pan or baking dish of similar size.
In a large frying pan, lightly brown the ground over medium-high heat, around 5-7 minutes (add a drizzle of oil if you are using veggie ground or a very lean ground). If your ground has excess fat, drain or pat dry with a paper towel.
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the sauce and add a splash of the reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the pasta. Transfer the pasta to the cast-iron pan or baking dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan on top and bake for 15 – 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden. Garnish with basil if desired before serving.
