Plug in waffle iron and heat according to manufacturer instructions.

In a large bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt to combine.

In a separate bowl, combine the maple syrup, eggs, apple, vanilla, melted coconut oil or butter and milk. Mix to combine.

Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.

Once waffle iron is hot, cook the waffles according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Optional: Cool the waffles and place in large resealable container or bag. Freeze until ready to eat.
