You know I love a DIY… but this carrot ice cube situation? This one’s a skip for me 🥕😅

Some of you made these look so cute on the internet and honestly, hats off to you… but mine were somehow giving lobster claws… 🦞

My home is filled with antiques that I’ve collected over the years. Truly… you can’t find a room without them. Even my boys’ rooms have a few special pieces tucked in.

This love comes from my mom. She has always been obsessed with antiques, and somewhere along the way I caught the bug too.

But my favourite part isn’t just how beautiful they are. It’s the stories they carry.

I always find myself imagining the lives that existed around them before they came to me. The dinners served on a favourite platter. The flowers someone clipped from their garden before placing them in a vase.

Antiques have this quiet way of reminding me how connected we all are, even across generations of strangers.

My kitchen counters are one of the busiest spaces in my house. Morning coffee. After school snacks. Dinner prep while someone tells me about their day.

So I like to treat that space with a little love… so this is how I style my counters.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The secret is layering pieces that feel both beautiful and lived in. Natural textures like an olive tree or a stone board, mixed with a few meaningful staples… like this menu print that quietly anchors the whole space.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because the rooms we spend the most time in deserve a little intention.

One of my favourite pieces that lives on my counter is our menu print. It’s where I fill out my weekly meal plan from @fraichetable, and it lets my boys know what’s on the menu for the week too.

I asked my husband on a date last week. He seemed a little surprised. Honestly? So was I.

I’d been quietly waiting for him to do it and quietly getting frustrated that he hadn’t. Classic. I said nothing, he noticed nothing, and life just kept filling every available space. Work, kids, the never-ending list. You know how it goes.

So I stopped waiting and asked myself: why not me?

What I didn’t expect was how fast he said yes. How quickly he closed his laptop, silenced his phone, and just showed up. Present. All in.

Over a good bottle of wine and a conversation that had nothing to do with schedules, I remembered something I don’t want to forget: sharing a life isn’t the same as choosing each other. And sometimes the most romantic gesture isn’t grand, it’s just being the one who reaches out first.

If you’ve been waiting for your sign, this is it. 🤍
