I told Charlie and Max we were “running errands” last weekend—technically true, since our errand was collecting one last perfect summer memory before school started on Tuesday.

Watching them soar above the endless blue, fearless and free, reminded me that this is what motherhood really is. Teaching them to spread their wings, then having the courage to let them fly. As I sipped my perfect latte from a safer spot haha.

Summer is coming to a close, school has started, and my heart is full seeing all the ways they’ve grown. The laughter, the adventures, the quiet moments that somehow feel like everything as I watch time slip by faster than I would like.

For Jill & Justin’s wedding, I wanted to give them something truly special — a piece of family history.
