The delicious and fun 10 Day Smoothie Challenge is back! Another great lineup of healthy and vibrant smoothies. Enjoy, have fun and let me know which one is your favourite!
Last year’s 10 Day Smoothie Challenge was such a hit that I wanted to do it again… and make it an annual event! I’m SO happy you all love smoothies as much as I do that I also decided to collaborate with Genuine Health to give away the ENTIRE line-up of vegan and Greek yogurt fermented protein powders to one lucky winner (giveaway now closed)! Now, I want to be clear, this isn’t a cleanse or a detox (I’m not big fans of either in most cases, but I totally subscribe to filling your body with good food to help support your bodies natural ability to perform those functions). This is meant to help give you some new ideas to mix up your routine and fill yourself with all the good stuff to get your day started right!
I am a big believer in having a protein-rich breakfast to help keep you satisfied for longer and to help build and maintain muscle tissue, so I added a full scoop of protein powder to each recipe bit it is totally optional!
Here are the ‘Rules’ of the Road:
- Each smoothie serves one person: multiply as needed!
- The only direction is to place everything in the blender and blend until smooth! I use my trusty Vitamix.
- Milk: use whichever type of milk you like (unsweetened) such as cow’s milk, almond, soy or some other type of plant-based milk beverage. Just keep in mind that the only plant-based milk beverage that contains any significant protein is soy milk, and be sure to choose one that is fortified with calcium and vitamin D.
- Protein Powder: use optionally in these recipes!
- Yogurt: I used 2% Greek yogurt in most cases for the extra protein, but regular yogurt will work fine too. For anybody who is avoiding milk-based yogurt, replace it with coconut yogurt.
Enjoy, have FUN and let me know which one is your favourite! xo

Yum! These all look so good! I’ve been thinking of trying out fermented protein powder – I’ll be adding it to my shoping list this week! One question – I really dislike bananas.. what could I use instead?
Tori Wesszer says
Hi Alison, you could try avocado instead to contribute the richness, it just wouldn’t give the same sweetness so you may want to play around with it a bit. Good luck!
Doris says
Hi Tori
I usually make smoothies for the whole family and we loved the last challenge. What protein powders do you recommend for children under the age of 12? Thanks for the recipes!
Tori Wesszer says
Hi Doris! Thank you! I would just skip the protein powder for the kids. I hope they all love the smoothies!
Jacqueline Watters says
Could you advise me on what Vitamix blender that is not too expensive to purchase? Thank you!
Alison Braidwood says
These look super yummy. I have a low carb chocolate shake most mornings, but it would be great to change it up.
Charlene Wyenberg says
Can hardly wait to try these!! I got a Vitamix for Christmas and was looking for some good recipes. 😊
Carla Balzun says
These look fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing these with all of us! I can’t wait to try them 🙂
Sandy says
Thank you for keeping the healthy eating momentum going in the new year! These all look fab!
Farran says
Hi Tori,
I’m currently breastfeeding my 3 month old. Is the protein powder safe for breastfeeding moms?
Thanks in advance 🙂
Farran
Tori Wesszer says
Hi Farran thank you for the email. Since these specific protein powders contain stevia, I would recommend leaving them out of the recipes for anybody who is pregnant or breastfeeding as there isn’t enough evidence to support the safety in this population – it is considered Generally Recognized as Safe, however I think it is best to play it safe. I hope this helps!
Farran says
Thanks so much, Tori! That’s very helpful.
Erin W says
I have been struggling with my diet for a long time, maybe this would help me get on track!
Lily says
Hi Tori,
Love all these recipes!!! <3
I would love to print them all, but when clicking on "Print recipe" the link doesn't work.
Thanks,
Lily
Tori Wesszer says
Sorry about that Lily I will get my IT person on it!
Lily says
Thank you! I love printing your recipes and adding to my little book of my fav things 🙂
Charlene says
Hi Tori! Does the protein powder add a flavour to the smoothie? I’ve been looking for a protein powder that isn’t flavoured but adds the protein. Thank you, Charlene
Tori Wesszer says
Yes it does add a bit of flavour Charlene – I use the Genuine Health brands as referenced in the recipe, I like the Greek Yogurt ones the best for taste, you can give them a try!
Candyce Robinson says
Love this Challenge! Here goes!
Khogie says
Are these for just once a day or how does the challenge work ? I’ve never done smoothies before but would love to try these. Does it matter which meal you use it for ?
Tori Wesszer says
Great question I will have to add some clarifying verbiage to the post: it is simply a challenge to include more smoothies in your diet. You can use them to replace breakfast depending on how much you usually eat in the morning!
Julie says
I’m only just getting around to trying some of these recipes now. But yummmmn the “wake up smoothie” is the perfect Friday morning treat!! 😋 Also, Genuine Health was kind enough to mail me some samples to try them out before purchasing an entire tub. I was hesitant about protein powders, but wanted to give them a shot after seeing your posts about them. The Greek yogurt one is delish with no grainy texture which is great.
Tori Wesszer says
So happy you like the recipes and also that the powder is working for you Julie!
Have a great week!
Tori
Jessica says
The fact that there is a smoothie here that calls for espresso powder is exactly the vibe I need heading into 2023! 😂 you should repost this! Still as useful as ever.
Tori W. says
hahah Jessica I LOVE IT! It sure is. If you like that you need to try these Café Au Lait Overnight Oats too!
