This outstanding local winery is one of my all-time favourites. They have an unbelievable selection of diverse whites, reds and a delightful rosé. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: you seriously can’t go wrong with their wine!  While I love them all, the Small Lots One and Two hold a special place in my wine glass, as does the (white) Sovereign Opal if you’re looking for a recommendation (see more below). I adore Sandhills wines (if you could see my wine room you would understand), and pairing them this holiday is easy peasy with bottles as good as theirs. I love their Merlot paired with my Cranberry Brie Hand Pies or your holiday diner feast. It’s full of ripe plum, blackberry, black cherry, sweet smoky oak and baking spice, full-bodied and fruit forward with an extra-dry, lingering finish… yum! If you are into white wines, the Sovereign Opal is a winner! It’s light bodied, with a crisp clean aroma of melon, peach, yellow apple, lychee nut and gooseberry. Great for gifting too because it is so easy to sip and enjoy (I can attest to that!).
