My 3 Favourite Spring Skin Treatments

I’ve taken self care a little more seriously lately, and that has meant visits to the incredible team at Dermapure. Today, I’m sharing my 3 favourite spring skin care treatments (and a discount code!) that have made a difference for my (aging) skin!

Why Is It Important to Take Care of Your Skin?

Skincare is a LIFELONG process! Having healthy skin helps boost my confidence and allows me to (literally) put my best face forward. When I’m eating well, exercising, using the right products, staying hydrated and am happy (key), the glow just feels good.

A daily skin care routine (especially in my 40’s) has always been really important to me. I’ve been that person who takes forever to go to bed since I was a kid – I’ve always loved pampering my skin.  As the largest organ you have, your skin can reflect your overall health and wellbeing (there are skin conditions that serve as exceptions – this I know).

Wear sunscreen.  I can’t talk about skin care without acknowledging that you need to protect your skin.  Not only to reduce the aging process, but to protect against skin cancer as well.  I wear sunscreen ever day.  I put a cream sunscreen on first, and through the day when I’m outside I apply a powder one that Dermapure sells (it’s really awesome).

HydraFacial

Laser Hair Removal

Full disclosure – with my European background, hair grows in places I would rather it not (ahem, chin and upper lip, I’m talking to you).  In fact, as I age the hair has become courser and plucking was leaving scars on my face. Ugh.  The laser hair removal has completely taken care of it. By far the best treatment that I have had, I wish I hadn’t waited so long.
