To my fellow parents, this one’s for you! Make chore time for kids (and you) a little bit easier with this free printable chore chart. Consider this your best new parenting hack!
Being a parent is a full-time job that can feel a tad overwhelming at times ON TOP of everything else you have on your plate! I’m constantly on the lookout for hacks to save me time and equipment for our home that is reliable and helps save me money and precious time. Cue Canon’s new lineup of PIXMA G-Series MegaTank Refillable Ink Printers.
The Printer I Use
Between my two boys with their never-ending art projects and Charles and I both working from home, our printer puts in WORK. The MegaTank (with a name like that you know it steps up to the plate lol!) holds 30 times more ink than the standard printer cartridges and can print 7,700 colour prints without needing any ink changes. As someone who is constantly short on time….what a dream.
Plus, it’s easy to use, sleek enough to fit in our home (does not take up too much space) and saves us over $2000* in ink. I can now easily print high-quality images and documents in the comfort of my home for so much less (and not have to leave my pj’s to do it!).
Printable Chore Chart for Kids
In an effort to keep my house a bit tidier and my boys organized and accountable, I put this Chore Chart together. This is such a great way to help them stay on top of homework and little house chores and help them stick to a routine. I printed mine in colour using my PIXMA G-Series MegaTank and within minutes, I have my newest (beautiful) parenting hack. Pop it into an 8.5 x 11 frame, place it somewhere the kids or you can access it, and use a dry erase pen to fill it out week after week.
Chore Chart Ideas for Kids
Obviously to each their own here! But I rounded up some ideas below to help you. The best part of this free printable is that you can fill in the blanks with any chore you want! I’ve been so pleasantly surprised at how eager the boys have been now that we use a chart: I literally don’t have to even remind them (worth its weight in gold).
- Pick up toys
- Vacuum floor
- Empty dishwasher
- Make bed
- Tidy sink (that toothpaste though)
- Put away laundry
- Unpack lunch kit
- Brush Teeth
- Pick up laundry
