Fruit salad is a brunch staple, so why not up your game a bit this year for your Mother’s Day brunch with this beautiful Citrus Kiwi Fruit Salad with a Honey Lime Vinaigrette? Heaven’s knows mom deserves it!
The flavours of the fruit and zippy vinaigrette really stand out in this Citrus Kiwi Fruit Salad. Citrus is so versatile and drop dead gorgeous – it comes in so many pretty colours! We used blood oranges, pink grapefruit, navel oranges and kiwi but you can adjust these to match your favourite citrus fruits. There really aren’t any rules here!
If you’re looking for an easy way to impress mom this year over brunch, the search is over. I love recipes that require little work but make you look like a rockstar, and this one absolutely falls into that category. We’re just finishing up a menu that includes this fruit salad along with a few of our other favs to help you show mom just how much you love her. Cooking for someone (and having someone cook for me) is my love language!
Citrus fruits are rich in vitamin C along with potassium, fibre and folic acid along with a handful of other B vitamins. Interestingly, kiwi fruit has MORE vitamin C in it than oranges do… and they add such a pretty element to the salad! But since comparison is the thief of joy, this salad lets both fruits shine through (no playing favourites lol).
What are your favourite dishes to make mom for Mother’s Day? Do you have any favourite foods you make every year?
