It’s time to ditch the Eggo’s forever! Make Homemade Toaster Waffles for a breakfast you can feel extra good about. Use your favourite waffle recipe and follow these simple how-to steps for a toaster ready breakfast!
There is nothing I love more than slow mornings with my Fraîche Cooking Playlist, a hot cup of tea, and the time to make homemade waffles for my family. Unfortunately for me, most of my mornings don’t allow for that – and I know I’m not alone! That is why I lean into make-ahead options whenever I can.
At any given time, you can find a batch of muffins, breakfast cookies and waffles tucked away in my freezer. Having these grab-and-go options gives me back precious time with my family in the morning, and let’s us share a wholesome breakfast (made with love) together, even if we are rushing out the door!

How To Make Toaster Waffles
It’s time to stock that freezer with make ahead homemade waffles, ready to be enjoyed any day of the week. You are only 3 steps away!
Step 1: Make Batch of Waffles
If you have a favourite recipe now is it’s time to shine! If you don’t I have got your back. See all my waffle recipes here or go with a classic like Buttermilk or these wholesome Spelt Waffles.

Step 2: Cool the waffles completely.
As you remove each cooked waffle from your waffle iron, lay them onto a baking rack or baking sheet to cool.

Step 3: Freeze the waffles flat.
Pop your baking sheets lined with cooked waffles into the freezer until frozen. Next, you can stack the pieces into a container or a resealable plastic bag. For even better storage, layer some parchment paper between the stacks of waffles to keep them from sticking together. These frozen waffles will keep in the freezer for up to 2 months!

How to Reheat Frozen Waffles
This is where the magic happens. Pop them in your toaster to reheat and eat! Note: Toast the waffles on a lower heat setting until they are warmed through and crisp on the outside. Have fun with the toppings to keep things exciting! Try some combinations like peanut butter and banana, apples with cinnamon or berries and yogurt. I mean, is there a wrong answer here?! Nope.

Make Ahead Breakfasts
Meal prepping breakfasts saves me so much time and stress each week. It can even be as simple as blending a smoothie up the night before! I get most of my inspiration from our meal plan, Fraîche Table. With hundreds of creative healthy breakfast recipes I never run out of ideas!

The waffles look so good, mine never turn out that good

Hi Karly I use a Breville!
Made these waffles they were a hit! In your above photo’s you are putting waffles in white bag , I guess to freeze them. Wondering what type of bags are there and where do I locate them I would like to purchase them for my freezer items.
