I’ve rounded up my favourite DIY gifts made with love along with a few ideas to keep in your back pocket for last minute gifts (we’ve all been there)! Surprise your friends and family with these meaningful and creative presents.
Gifts Made with Love
There is something about the holidays that really brings out my crafty side. Who’s with me?! There are sooooo many ways to get creative but the best part is when that creativity means easy, memorable gift for loved ones. I’ve pulled together all of my top DIY gift ideas made with simple supplies and a whole lotta LOVE!
DIY Card Boxes
These little DIY Card Boxes are the perfect way to repurpose old cards that are JUST too pretty to throw away! They are so simple to make and take less than 5 minutes to put together!
Cards are such a sweet little gesture and are so nice to receive, but do you ever wonder what to do with them after? It’s nice to keep the really sentimental ones, but instead of just putting your cards into the recycling, this fun little DIY gives them another purpose!
Pink Peppermint Body Scrub
I created this Pink Peppermint Body Scrub with my cousin Jillian years ago as a homemade gift. It comes together so easy and leaves your skin feeling silky soft and smelling like Peppermint candy. Bottle it up in little glass jars for a pretty no-waste DIY Christmas gift! We all know someone who deserves a good pampering this holiday. Pair this with a sweet note and this is a very memorable and thoughtful gift.
DIY Gingerbread Spice
This DIY Gingerbread Spice takes just a minute to make and is the perfect way to prepare for all the baking ahead. This is not only a great pantry staple but also makes the sweetest little homemade (and zero waste!) gift.
This is such a fun project that really takes no effort at all, but is a great way to get you in the mood for prepping for all that holiday baking ahead of us! You probably already have most (if not all) of these spices in your pantry. All it takes is a simple mix together and you are prepared for holiday baking my friends. This is a great gift for someone who lovesssss gingerbread spice (my favourite kind of people).
Rosemary Roasted Nuts
This no-fuss recipe for Rosemary Roasted Nuts is ready in 15 minutes and makes the perfect gift! I packed these nuts into jars and will be giving them away as gifts all holiday season.
These nuts are completely addictive and are made from a few simple ingredients including maple syrup, butter (or vegan butter), and rosemary with one unexpected ingredient: tamari (you can alternately use soy). They also go amazing as part of your holiday charcuterie board!
Top Secret Granola
Secrets out! My famous granola makes a sweet gift in a jar or container wrapped with a bow. You can have fun with the ingredients, and I mix it up all of the time with the kinds of nuts, seeds and fruit that I add (sometimes I skip the fruit completely). My favourites include pumpkin seeds, almonds, walnuts and pecans but you can use whatever combination your heart desires.
To REALLY make this extra special you can pair a jar of granola with our new Top Secret Granola Print! Easy to download, just print locally and pop it in a frame.

Rice bags (aka Magic Bags) have kept me warm for years ever since my Mom started making them about 2 decades ago! It’s time to whip out the sewing machine and make these Lavender Sweetheart Magic Bags! Pop them in the microwave for 1-2 minutes and you have an INSTANT heat bag that smells so amazing! Wouldn’t these make the cutest DIY Christmas gift?!
