Whether you’re into the sport or just there for the food, the halftime show and Taylor Swift (me), I’ve got the roundup of Perfect Game Day Recipes to enjoy! From Pretzel Bites with Beer Cheese to the BEST Brownies, we have your Super Bowl spread covered this year. Just sit back and enjoy the hat tricks and home runs 😉
Fun fact. I almost got beat up at a hockey game once. I went on a date YEARS ago to a Canucks game, and thinking I was all cute and stuff, I thought I would impress him and join in the chanting and started yelling ‘boooo’ along with everyone else. Or at least that’s what I thought they were yelling. Nope. They were yelling ‘LUO’… like as in Luongo… the goalie. Right, right. I can’t remember if there was a second date. This coming from a gal who only scored ONE point in high school basketball: on her own net. So yeah, I’m in it for the food.
What to Cook for the Super Bowl
Don’t know what to make on Super Bowl Sunday? Consider this your ultimate guide to crowd-pleasing recipes. With finger food and individual portions in mind, here are some touchdown recipes both savoury and sweet.
Classic Caesar Cocktail
Is it even Sunday if you aren’t enjoying at least one caesar?! A Caesar bar with lots of DIY garnishes like pepperoni, celery, pickles, olives etc. is a fun idea!
Guacamole & Chips
I feel like this needs no introduction. Guacamole is a game day icon. Serve it up with some tortilla chips and add a bowl of Pico De Gallo if you wish too. I mean, might as well make nachos while you’re at it?! Yum!
Baked Buffalo Cauliflower Wings
I would be remiss to forget these Baked Buffalo Cauliflower Wings for game day! This baked, vegan appetizer is seriously addicting, regardless of if you are plant-based or not, these are a fantastic appetizer.
Soft Pretzel Bites & Beer Cheese Dip
Okay, this recipe was made for game day! These homemade Soft Pretzel Bites are both fun to make and eat. Serve them with a ooey gooey Beer Cheese Dip for the BEST addition to an appetizer spread. Warm out of the oven, these little bites are addicting…. you were warned.
Crispy Baked Zucchini Fries
These Crispy Baked Zucchini Fries are crunchy, healthy, addicting, and so easy to make. I paired mine with a marinara sauce, but anything goes here! A ranch dip or plain ol’ ketchup would be great here too.
Southwest Chili
I couldn’t write this roundup without including chili could I?! This Southwest Chili is perfect for feeding a crowd. Serve it will lots of fun toppings like cheese, tortilla chips, sour cream, jalapeños and avocado.
Whiskey Crockpot Chicken Sliders
This recipe SCREAMS game day! Sliders are a great addition to any spread, especially if you want something more substantial. Using an easy to make whiskey BBQ sauce (whiskey is optional), these shredded chicken sliders come together in a pinch, and pack TONS of flavour. Pick up your favourite bakery-fresh buns, add a healthy portion of coleslaw and the rest is up to you! We topped ours with pickles because quite frankly, that’s a match made in flavour heaven.
Old-Fashioned Brownies
An easy to grab sweet treat is needed on game-day, so my iconic classic brownies are perfect! Is there anything better than moist, fudgy, decadent, brownies fresh out of the oven?! The answer is a solid no.
Air Fryer Onion Rings
These Air Fryer Onion Rings are crispy on the outside, sweet on the inside, and so much healthier than the deep-fried version. Serve as an appetizer with this Honey Chipotle Dipping Sauce, or add them on to your burger….mic drop!
Fraiche Table Game-Day Recipes
Fraîche Table is home to SO many more great game day recipe ideas, including plant-based and gluten free options! Some favourites like: One-Pot Taco Mac, Smash Burgers, Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Chili Cheese Nachos come to mind! All these and THOUSANDS more here.
